  • And sometimes, against all odds, against all logic, we still hope...

Oddly while racking my brain thinking what to blog since I've been thinking about wanting to blog since last week but just couldn't bring myself into doing so. Call it laziness, call it lack of inspiration but whatever it is, someone's status in Facebook finally started the ball rolling for me to blog.

Last year, I had to learn to let go of a connection with someone and move on with the memories. That person never fails to make my heart skip a beat since the day I started talking to him. And that was 5 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then for both of us moved on with each other lives and even though we still live halfway across from the world from each other, it always felt that I wasn't really alone and I always had that someone in my life that I could talk to and be connected with.

Then last week about 6 days ago, I heard from someone whom I've never heard a single peep for a year. Surprisingly it felt like everything was like before when we started talking. I have no qualms of getting back together or any fantasy of the happily ever after but as they say they say that "Destiny decides who you meet in life. But it's your heart that decides who gets to stay forever.. "

Yes, I admit that sometimes, against all odds, against all logic, we still hope...

  • How to remove stains from your Longchamp Bag

    lepeliage

I've noticed that this year a lot of people have been sporting a Le Pliage bag left and right fake or not. It all the rage now. I must say though that years ago I really thought that it was just another ugly bag (yes I hate to admit that I regarded LV's in the same light) and it was my mother points out to me that those "ugly" bags costs a lot and blah blah blah. And as years passed, I started to look at the Le Pliage's in a different light because everytime we travelled outside of the P.I., I'd always see someone bringing a Le Pliage in hand and I actually found the utilitarian value of it when travelling because you can pair it with anything you wear because the design is simple, its water-resistant and its the carry all bag plus it folds up perfect for the limited storage space in your backpack or luggage. And then I became a convert. I'm digressing from the topic.

The bag in the photo is the one I really really really wanted to get BUT I chose the pink one since I am not the most "careful" person and I have the tendency to just stuff my bag anywhere or just drop it to any surface anywhere (except for toilet floors). Now I'm ending up with Longchamp Le Pliage bags with stain and pen marks on it.

After spending some time googling the answer to the dilemna "How to remove stains from your Longchamp Bag" I stumbled on a few tips that might help.

    1. mild soap (or shampoo) and water w/o soaking the leather

    2. as per www.longchamp.com , Care: To maintain your product, apply with a soft brush Longchamp colorless cream regularly to leather areas. [But doesn't really state anywhere in their site how to exactly remove stains from the Polyamide fabric]

    3. baby wipes (Purse Forum) - I tried and tested this it only works if you just stained it and notice it right away before the stain actually dries

    4. toss it to the washing machine, cold cycle - forum.purseblog.com

    5. dripping milk in a washcloth and rubbing it to the stain and alternating it with a dry clean cloth. - http://www.themrsg.com/2009/04/how-to-remove-ink-stains-from-longchamp.html

If all things fail, go to the DRY CLEANERS.

  • I need A/AN RTW!

    *SIGH*

I am stuck in a rut or in a middle of a doldrum right now. And YES, I'm talking about work and the entire nine yards of what I really want to do in the long run.

I SERIOUSLY NEED A/AN RTW pronto!

What's an RTW? Reasons. To. Work. Though I have an RTW that has been pushing me more the next 2 months or so. But the question is, what am I going to do about NOW? I need the push or temporary distraction to keep me looking forward to go to work or just even the workplace. Doesn't really matter WHAT or WHO or even IT.

As Jessie J aptly sings it:

It's not about the money, money, money

    Ain't about the Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
    Ain't about the Ba-Bling Ba-Bling.

It's not about the dough anymore. I am up to the end of the rope where I want to stop working in this industry and be a bum. Obviously being a bum isn't really an option because I ain't no trust fund baby and independence is expensive dude!

I've been getting motivational speeches here and there but unfortunately its not getting thru to moi anymore. In comes one ear and out goes the other ear.

Oddly enough, I received this morning an email thru the subscriptions of countless motivational and travel blogs I signed up with. Is this a sign? Oh Dear Lord.

Anyway here it goes. And you might have use of this in your life as well.

    From http://www.wakeupcloud.com/get-what-you-want/

Powerful Questions That Will Help You Get Exactly What You Want

    1. What do you want?

What is it that you truly want?

    2. Why do you want that?

The next question focuses on the purpose. Why do you want what you want?

    3. What stops you?

Next we come to a really interesting question, which helps you identify the obstacles that stop you from taking action right away.

    4. Why is it like that?

Once you’ve identified what stops you, it’s time to look at why you have the obstacles in the first place. Where have they come from?

    5. How have you been perceiving this as a problem until now?

How have you perceived this to be a problem in your life?

    6. What would you like to believe?

What would you like to believe instead of the limiting belief? This is an interesting question, because it lets you discover that you have choice, and that you’ve always had choice.

So imagine, what would you like to believe instead? How would it feel if you believed something more positive and empowering?

And how would your future look different if you did that now?

    7. What would happen if you could?

Last, but not least, what would happen if you could? This is an eye-opener for many, because it may open your eyes to something scary.

Once you’ve identified what’s going on, you can deal with it and starting flying toward what you truly want from life.

So let me end this blog and start grabbing a pen and paper write down my answers. Hopefully I'd be able to answer these questions by the end of this week if not, end of this month.

  • Wanted: Activity Partner

    What is an Activity Partner?

I get asked this question almost everytime I say these two words together. Are people now too perverted or too cynical to even ask what it means?

    Quoting from Urbandictionary.com:

    activity partner

A person with whom you form a special bond because of the common interest for a specific activity.

A person with whom you get ritually together to perform a specific activity.

I’m not looking for a friend, just an activity partner.

As we grow up we learn to do things by ourselves without depending on someone else. Its not that I am not fine with doing things alone. I mean I do love my alone time but coming from a society where it's out of the norm to eat alone in a restaurant can definitely be weird. I don't know if its just me but I get this feeling that when you're dining alone for example the waiter or waitress or even the other diners give you this sympathetic look that you're actually alone. It gives you the feeling that you're all alone in the world period if you eat alone. Is it a Filipino thing to always have company when you're dining? Or is it an Asian thing? cultural norms aside, it isn't also cost effective to do things alone especially when we talk about going somewhere or dining somewhere. For example, I want to have pizza in that Italian pizzeria at the corner intersection between Escario and Gorordo, I cannot for the life of me wolf down an entire pizza even if I am starving to death. Gas money or taxi money isn't cheap as well with oil prices skyrocketing now a days.

Lately its been a struggle to find activity partners. Especially with most people I know are swamped with work or have totally opposite schedules as I have and as well as people I used hang out with are no longer in the same area code as I am! I have tons of friends to do "stuff" with but sometimes I crave for the spur of the moment "thing" that I want to do with someone randomly. I want to have the "Hey what's up? Are you up to have a picnic and go for an afternoon hike in the mountains?" or the "Let's just go to the beach and just chill" and the "Checking out the place somewhere North and go horseback riding" or even just watching the city's night lights and maybe just getting a cup of joe and read in the coffee shop.

The most easiest answer to my dilemma is to be in a "relationship" so I can drag some boy to do "stuff" with me. It might be nice to have someone romantically in your life but as of this moment of time, I don't think I need to have one, the door is closed but a window is open. I hate the thought of going into a relationship for the sake of escaping loneliness or just to have someone to do things with. 100% of the time, the relationship always goes south or turn sour and hearts will be broken. I don't want to go thru all that again.

    So there.

With having a Monday - Tuesday restday, I need to have activity partners to do things semi-randomly. Anyone?
